About Lauren Anderson
A Lifetime of Design. A Legacy of Craftsmanship.
Lauren Anderson began his design journey in 1958 with a $15 logo for a local women’s clothing store—a logo that stayed in use for two decades. That early project launched a lifetime of creativity spanning product design, architectural interiors, and custom signage.
After majoring in “Industrial Design” at University of California at Long Beach, and teaching a senior & graduate class for 3 years. Lauren was awarded a coveted internship with legendary industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss—an experience he likens to an apprenticeship with Frank Lloyd Wright. Working with major clients like Polaroid, Schwinn, and Hughes Aircraft, before founding his own firm, Design 2, in Southern California in 1971.
Eventually, Lauren shifted his focus from product to spatial design, helping shape environments in hotels, restaurants, and casinos across the country—from Atlantic City to Las Vegas. In 1998, he launched Lauren Anderson Design in Grass Valley, California, where he continues to provide concept sketches, hand-drawn renderings, working architectural plans, signage, and interior concepts.
With over 50 years of experience in themed hospitality and casino design, Lauren brings not just skill, but a sense of artistry and vision that’s increasingly rare in today’s digital design world. He draws on a network of trusted collaborators to bring projects to life.
Whether it’s a destination casino or a local commercial build, Lauren’s designs reflect both old-school rigor and timeless creative elegance with a professional team.
