A Legacy of Craftsmanship.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"259\" data-end=\"526\" class=\"\">Lauren Anderson began his design journey in 1958 with a $15 logo for a local women\u2019s clothing store\u2014a logo that stayed in use for two decades. That early project launched a lifetime of creativity spanning product design, architectural interiors, and custom signage.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"528\" data-end=\"900\" class=\"\">After majoring in &#8220;Industrial Design&#8221; at University of California at Long Beach, and teaching a senior &amp; graduate class for 3 years.\u00a0 \u00a0Lauren was awarded a coveted internship with legendary industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss\u2014an experience he likens to an apprenticeship with Frank Lloyd Wright. Working with major clients like Polaroid, Schwinn, and Hughes Aircraft, before founding his own firm, Design 2, in Southern California in 1971.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"902\" data-end=\"1298\" class=\"\">Eventually, Lauren shifted his focus from product to spatial design, helping shape environments in hotels, restaurants, and casinos across the country\u2014from Atlantic City to Las Vegas. In 1998, he launched Lauren Anderson Design in Grass Valley, California, where he continues to provide concept sketches, hand-drawn renderings, working architectural plans, signage, and interior concepts.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1649\" class=\"\">With over 50 years of experience in themed hospitality and casino design, Lauren brings not just skill, but a sense of artistry and vision that\u2019s increasingly rare in today\u2019s digital design world. Chuck Yeager&#8217;s<span> <\/span>&#8220;Glamours Glen&#8221; )\u00a0 plane tower to attract attention to the property.\u00a0 <span><\/span>His company provided design for many gaming company including Mikon<span> <\/span>Gaming, where he developed games based on the Monopoly game be<span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">Hasbro.\u00a0 His company was responsible for providing designs and construction<span> <\/span>documents for many metal buildings and self-storage facilities.<span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">Example Projects<span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Delta Building,\u00a0 Marysville, CA<span> <\/span>LA\/D provided the Design and Permit Drawings for an existing two story building <span> <\/span>into apartments.\u00a0 <span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">\u2022 Susanville Casino, Susanville, CA<span> <\/span>LA\/D was selected to provide the design for converting a existing small casino<span> <\/span>into a major two story casino.\u00a0 This included adding a new building with a themed<span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">entry, restaurant bar, commercial kitchen and event center with all the support <span> <\/span>facilities.<span> <\/span>LA\/D was selected from six other major casino design firms.\u00a0 Our office was responsible for the complete theming and furnishings and purchasing for the <span> <\/span>project.<span> <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Gaming Facilities International Inc.<\/span><\/strong> <em>Casino and Hospitality Design<\/em> 4 \/ 97 to 4 \/ 98<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Partner and Vice President of Design:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As a general partner my position was to organize and set-up a new corporation for &#8220;complete&#8221; design and installation packages of casino and hospitality projects.\u00a0 My responsibilities included direction and coordination of a 9-person design team working on conceptual design and budgeting for total facility installations. This included, space planning, theme development, graphics and all signing, machine layout and other related phases of the projects. I was responsible for the designs, color material selections and the client presentations as well as the subcontractor coordination and purchasing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mikohn Gaming Corporation, Inc.<\/span><\/strong> <em>Casino signing company<\/em> 4 \/ 96 to 4 \/ 97<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Design Director :<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I was directly involved in the start-up of a new design division of Mikohn Gaming.\u00a0 Who prioduced 85% of the gaming signs in the U.S.\u00a0 and had a good percentage of the world gaming signing and meters.\u00a0 This division was charged with the coordinating of all other divisions of the corporation to one focus directed at theming and design for the gaming industry. I coordinated the overall design concepts form site review, space planning, signing, graphics and interior architecture to budgeting and installations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lauren Anderson \/ Design<\/span><\/strong> Architectural and interior design firm 7 \/ 75 to 8 \/ 98<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Owner:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Lauren Anderson \/ Design is a design firm working in commercial interiors, interior space plan-ning and theming. This firm was started to fill a need to work closely with clients and contractors to bring creativity and controlled budgeting to projects. This firm brings concepts, timing and budgets together with creative sources and purchasing capabilities. Lauren Anderson \/ Design has established a reputa-tion of quality and timely installations for the food service and retail communities. Our emphasis was the total design of interiors and exteriors. The company evolved into a full service singing business, with a billing of 1.5 million in the early 1970&#8217;s. Our client list included Knott&#8217;s Berry Farm, Orange Coast College and Far West Services, ( Coco\u2019s, Rubens, etc. ) + Major housing developers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Revcon Incorporated<\/span><\/strong> <em>Motorhome manufacturing company<\/em> 6 \/ 69 To 2 \/ 71<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Director of Design and Marketing :<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I began with the concept designs and business formation of a &#8220;top of the line&#8221; motorhome company, and advanced to a management position of &#8220;director of marketing and product development &#8220;. I was responsible for design and prototype production. I also handled the adver-tising and the establishment of a dealer network in seven western states. Areas of responsibility in this 80 person manufacturing facility included employee relations, human engineering, production wood-working, sheet-metal and aluminum forming, injection molding, vacuum forming, upholstery production assembly, and fiberglass molding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Lauren Anderson \/ Design Resume<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Tom Kellogg and Associates<\/strong><\/span> <em>Industrial design firm ( designer of the avanti car)\u00a0 <\/em>\u00a09 \/ 67 To 6 \/ 69<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Project Designer :<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I worked as project designer at this Newport Beach based industrial design firm. I worked on consumer products as well as recreational vehicles and pleasure boat designs. Our office was responsible for the concepts and the development of these products. I produced models, and developed the production drawings, including all graphics and related logo development. Our client list included Jensen Marine, Starcraft and O\u2019day Boats, Daisy Manufacturing and Benmar Marine Products and Revcon Motor Homes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Henery Dreyfuss and Associates international<\/strong><\/span> <em>industrial design firm<\/em> 6 \/ 66 To 9 \/ 67<br \/>Entering this Pasadena office as the winner of an international student scholarship program for a 3-month intern program, I continued on as a project designer for 2 years. My responsibilities included concept design, graphic design, and model making for large industrial manufacturers. Clients included John Deer, International Harvester and Polaroid and Hughes 500.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dean Myers and associates\u00a0<\/span><\/strong> <em>Industrial design office<\/em> 2 \/ 65 to 6 \/ 66<br \/>As a part time project designer, I was responsible for concept design, drafting, and production coordi-nation. Work included presentation renderings, models, photography, and client coordination. Our client list varied from AMF\/Voit to Cal boats. We were responsible for the design and complete graphic images for corporate accounts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">William E. Blurock and Associates<\/span><\/strong><em> Architectural firm<\/em> Newport Beach 9 \/ 61 to 6 \/ 65<br \/>While attending the University of California at Long Beach, I worked designing and coordinating all colors and materials for major commercial architectural projects. My responsibilities included concept sketches, presentations, and graphic design. Projects included high-rise office buildings, high schools, and shopping centers. This was a large architectural firm with sixty employees, and my responsibilities varied from model making to presenting design packages to clients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">California State University at Long Beach<\/span><\/strong> 1968 to 1971<br \/>I held a part time faculty position as an instructor of a senior and graduate class in design and drawing for three years.
